This iconic brand is beloved around the world for its wide variety of instructional, educational, and entertaining food-related programming. The network is a part of the Discovery Communications family of streaming and televised assets.
During the 2020 Pandemic, the channel felt compelled to show empathy for its advertisers. In spite of historic financial hurdles, a select group of advertisers managed to continue its backing of the network. The leaders at the network felt the need to provide them and their families with special holiday gifts that were most useful at that moment.
At that time, the Discovery Communications networks collectively branded themselves as the “greatest stay-at-home brands” on screen.
I was tapped to create copy that expressed the company’s true concern for their clients’ safety as humans beings literally trying to survive during the holidays. A bright yet realistic, helpful tone is what we were going for and ultimately created together.
